My friend and I planned to visit an island during the chinese holiday. Since our friend will be visiting us from China. My friend arranged all the bookings to an agent. We were very excited. We travelled from Pontianak at 5am and reached the port at 8:30am. Then, we met our agent who booked our boat. Then we rode a boat going to the island for almost more than an hour. During the boat ride, huge waves are welcoming us.

As we approached the island, local people are getting busy to make their things (fish, gas, fruits ect.) to be sent to the city. We waited for out time to desembark the boat.
We put our things inside the room at checked the guest house. It was cleaned, got tow toilet and prepared mats for sleeping and lots of pillows to share. Then, our food arrived. It's lunch time. We had fried fish (fresh) and vegetable and Ice-tea. Enak! (delicious).
We rested, as we looked for our own space to take a nap.
Then, the purpose of our trip began. We put our own swimming clothes, googles and snorkles. We went to some spots to do snorkling. We saw different colours, sizes, and shapes of corals. The waves didn't stop us from doing some adventure.

We met some people who were doing the same way. So, we became friends.
The guest house was comfortable. However, the island only power their electricity from 6pm until 6am the next day. So, you need to charged everything at night. They didn't provide aircon or any electric fan.
So , my friend and I slept in a tent outside the guest house. It was quite cool that way.
At night, we had some beers and grilled fish and roasted some marsmallow. It was a wonderful night. Chatting with new friend. I couldn't speak Bahasa Indonesia well. Sedikit aja temen temen. (just few words firneds) So, they were trying to speak to me in English and they were really funny.
The next day, we went for another s
norkling but only in front of the guest house. We need to be ready before 9am because the boat is expected to arrive. I've been to this island before, but my second visit is better than the first.
People of lemukutan island were very friendly. They always smiles when they meet us on the way. I just wish that people of Lemukutan will find a way to keep their island free from rubbish so their island will attract more tourist. I hope that they will also keep their beautiful corals untouch so it will be one of the best snorkling spots in West Kalimantan.
Note: Diving photos will be added soon. (Travel to colour your life.)
